Day 6: Unhealed Trauma – The Hidden Wounds That Hold You Back
Scripture: Psalm 147:3 – "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds."
Devotion: Trauma doesn’t always wear visible scars—it hides in habits, reactions, and
silence. Unhealed wounds distort how we see ourselves and how we receive love. God is not
just the healer of bodies; He’s the mender of memories. To love yourself is to admit what
hurt you, and allow God to begin the work of healing.
Practice: Identify one event or memory that still causes you pain. Journal how it has affected
the way you treat yourself. Invite God into that memory in prayer.☐ I completed today’s practice.
Reflection:
What did you experience during this practice?

Prayer: Jesus, I bring You the pain I’ve hidden, the wound I’ve carried too long. Begin the
healing in me. Rewire my thoughts, renew my identity, and remind me that You make all
things new. Amen.
